Master Terms & Conditions and Email Consent

By registering for, purchasing, or participating in any program, event, or service offered by Women Getting Visible, LLC (“WGV”), including any program or event where WGV collaborates with guest speakers, sponsors, venues, or partner organizations, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions and Email Consent (the “Terms”).
These Terms apply to all offerings, including but not limited to: workshops, conferences, visibility accountability groups, happy hours, networking events, meetups, masterminds, visibility intensive programs, 1:1 or group coaching, programs delivered in connection with podcasts, and any other in‑person, virtual, or hybrid events or services (each a “Program or Event”).
References in these Terms to “we,” “us,” “our,” or the “Organizer” mean Women Getting Visible, LLC and its owners, officers, employees, contractors, volunteers, representatives, and any third parties engaged by WGV to help deliver a Program or Event (including guest speakers, facilitators, vendors, and venue partners).
1. Scope of services1.1. These Terms govern your registration for and participation in any Program or Event, whether delivered in person, online, or in a hybrid format.
1.2. If a particular Program or Event includes additional or different terms, those will be presented at registration and will apply together with these Terms.
2. Program or Event details and modifications2.1. Specific details for each Program or Event—including dates, times, locations, format, speakers, facilitators, and inclusions—will be provided at the time of registration or in subsequent communications.
2.2. We reserve the right, at our sole discretion, to make reasonable changes to any Program or Event, including but not limited to schedule, speakers, facilitators, content, format (including converting to virtual or hybrid), and venue within the same general area.
2.3. In the event of material changes, we will make reasonable efforts to notify registered participants by email.
3. Registration, payment, refunds, and transfers3.1. Registration is complete only upon receipt of full payment through our designated platforms (such as Eventbrite, Luma, Stripe-powered checkout, or other approved systems).
3.2. Unless a different policy is clearly stated at the point of purchase for a particular Program or Event, the default policy is:
Refunds are available up to 7 days before the published start date and time of the Program or Event.
Within 7 days of the start date and time, all sales are final and non‑refundable.
3.3. Tickets or enrollments may be transferred to another individual by written request (email) to us no later than 24 hours before the Program or Event start time, subject to our approval. The original purchaser remains financially responsible for the purchase and for communicating with the transferee.
3.4. Payment plans, if offered, must be completed in full regardless of whether the participant attends or completes the Program or Event, except where prohibited by law or where we have agreed in writing to alternative arrangements.
4. Inclusions and exclusions4.1. Each Program or Event will specify what is included (for example: sessions, keynotes, masterminds, group calls, access to recordings, VIP dinners, meals, or materials). We may adjust the precise timing or structure while delivering a substantially similar level of value.
4.2. Travel, accommodation, transportation, childcare, and all other personal expenses are the sole responsibility of the participant, unless explicitly stated otherwise in writing.
5. Email communication and marketing consent5.1. By registering for any Program or Event, you acknowledge and agree that email is the primary method of communication regarding your participation. This includes confirmations, logistical details, updates, reminders, feedback requests, and important notices.
5.2. You also consent to receive emails from WGV that may include:
Information about current and future Programs or Events
Educational content related to visibility, leadership, business growth, and personal development
Carefully selected offers, promotions, and invitations from us and from partner organizations associated with a Program or Event
5.3. You may unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time by using the unsubscribe link in the email. Doing so will not affect your receipt of essential transactional or Program-related emails that are necessary to deliver your purchase.
6. Code of conduct6.1. WGV is committed to creating a safe, respectful, and inclusive environment. By participating, you agree to:
Treat all participants, speakers, and staff with respect and professionalism.
Refrain from harassment, bullying, discrimination, or any abusive or disruptive behavior.
Respect the confidentiality of personal stories, business information, and other sensitive content shared by participants within the Program or Event.
6.2. We reserve the right, at our sole discretion, to remove or deny access to any participant whose behavior is deemed inappropriate, unsafe, or disruptive, without refund or credit.
7. Recording, photography, and use of likeness7.1. Programs or Events may be recorded in audio, video, and/or photographic form. By attending or participating, you:
Consent to being photographed, filmed, or otherwise recorded, and
Grant us a perpetual, worldwide, royalty‑free, non‑exclusive license to use your image, likeness, voice, and participation in such recordings in connection with our marketing, promotion, educational materials, or other lawful purposes, in any media now known or later developed, without additional notice or compensation.
7.2. If you prefer not to be prominently featured, you must notify us in writing before or at the beginning of the Program or Event. We will make reasonable efforts to accommodate such requests but cannot guarantee complete exclusion from all recordings or photos.
8. Intellectual property8.1. All content, materials, frameworks, tools, slides, recordings, and other intellectual property provided by us in connection with any Program or Event (the “Materials”) are owned or licensed by WGV and are protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws.
8.2. You are granted a limited, non‑exclusive, non‑transferable license to use the Materials for your personal or internal business use only. You may not reproduce, distribute, share, sell, publicly display, or create derivative works from the Materials without our prior written consent.
9. Personal responsibility, disclaimers, and no guarantees9.1. All Programs or Events are for educational and informational purposes only. Nothing provided by us constitutes legal, financial, medical, psychological, or other professional advice. You should consult your own qualified professionals for advice specific to your situation.
9.2. You are solely responsible for your decisions, actions, results, and well‑being before, during, and after any Program or Event.
9.3. We do not make any guarantees of specific outcomes, such as increased income, visibility, clients, media features, or business results. Any examples of success shared are illustrative only and do not guarantee that you will achieve similar results.
10. Assumption of risk and release of liability10.1. Your participation in any Program or Event is voluntary. You understand and agree that there are inherent risks associated with travel, group gatherings, virtual participation, and the implementation of strategies discussed.
10.2. To the fullest extent permitted by law, you agree to assume all risks related to your participation and hereby release, indemnify, and hold harmless WGV, its owners, officers, employees, contractors, volunteers, representatives, and partners from any and all claims, demands, causes of action, damages, losses, costs, or expenses (including attorneys’ fees) arising out of or related to your participation in any Program or Event, except to the extent caused by WGV’s gross negligence or willful misconduct.
10.3. If, despite these provisions, WGV is found liable to you, such liability shall be limited to the total amount you paid for the specific Program or Event giving rise to the claim.
11. Health, safety, and accessibility11.1. You are responsible for your own physical and mental health, and for assessing whether participation in any activities is appropriate for you.
11.2. You agree to follow all health, safety, and venue policies communicated by us or by the venue, including any public‑health related requirements that may be in effect at the time of the Program or Event.
12. Force majeure12.1. WGV shall not be liable for any delay or failure to perform due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to acts of God, natural disasters, pandemics, public health emergencies, government restrictions, labor disputes, power outages, or venue unavailability.
12.2. In such circumstances, we may, at our discretion, reschedule, relocate, convert to virtual, provide a credit, or otherwise modify the Program or Event. Unless required by law, refunds are not guaranteed in force majeure situations.
13. Privacy13.1. We will collect and process personal information you provide in accordance with applicable laws and our privacy practices.
13.2. Personal information will be used to manage your registration, deliver the Program or Event, communicate with you, and send you the types of emails described in Section 5.
14. Governing law and dispute resolution14.1. These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the state in which Women Getting Visible, LLC is legally organized, without regard to principles of conflict of laws.
14.2. Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms, any Program or Event, or your relationship with WGV shall first be attempted to be resolved informally. If not resolved, such dispute shall be submitted to binding arbitration or another mutually agreed dispute resolution process, to the extent permitted by law, rather than in court, except that either party may seek injunctive or equitable relief in a court of competent jurisdiction.
15. Acceptance of TermsBy completing registration, purchasing a ticket, joining a Program or Event, or participating in any related activities, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to these Master Terms & Conditions and Email Consent.to your block, write your own text and edit me.
